Special lithium batteries refer to a special type of lithium battery technology, which are different from traditional lithium-ion batteries (Li-ion) in terms of electrochemical performance, structural design, and material composition. Compared with civilian lithium-ion batteries, special lithium-ion batteries usually have the characteristics of high energy density, high power output, long cycle life, high safety and stability.

Specific types of special lithium batteries include lithium polymer batteries, lithium sulfur batteries, lithium air batteries, lithium titanate batteries, etc.:
Lithium-polymer battery (Li-Polymer): Similar to lithium-ion batteries, but uses a polymer matrix instead of a liquid electrolyte, which has higher energy density and flexibility.
Lithium iron phosphate battery (LiFePO4): Using lithium iron phosphate as the positive electrode material, it has high safety, long cycle life and low energy density.
Lithium-sulfur battery (Li-S): Using sulfur as the cathode material, it has the characteristics of high energy density, low cost and environmental friendliness, but it is still in the research and development stage.
Lithium-air battery (Li-Air): releases energy by reacting lithium with oxygen, which has a very high theoretical energy density, but still faces technical challenges.
